The mods claim that they're doing it to protect mentally ill people who think that the word trap is a slur. On /r/animemes, popular posts related to traps include a post on december 9th, 20174 that gained over 2,700 upvotes (shown below, left). Ngl, on a side note. Things were better for everyone before the rule 5 change.
